I just finished reading Gretchen Rubin's book, The Happiness Project. I recommend it. Not only does Gretchen (I write like she's my friend) leave you with a multitude of strategies to experiment with, but she shares her own experience and those of many others.
The one point that stuck with me is an idea she refers to often. She says, "The days are long but the years are short." I can relate to this. I chunk my time in years (I wrote "tears" by accident - wouldn't that be an interesting post). Being a teacher, my years mean August to June; the summer being the summer. It's amazing how quickly the years fly by; more-so the older I get. But the days, the days can stretch on if we live in them and don't spend to much time in the past or the future. The days are long; and the possibilities within every single minute are endless.
Be well my friends.
